This is a wartime issued and used Spitfire MK VIII propeller.

it was flown by 54 Squadron RAF in the defence of Darwin in WW2 and up through the islands in west Papua, Borneo etc.

Rotol prop blade made of the Hydulignum wood by the Hordern-Richmond Aircraft Company marked with the pale green disk at the prop blade root, It has part of the pitch control gearing attached.

it does have a small split in it that could be repaired easily.
